Last year my heart was calling me to spend the summer in the beach, to play music for the Sun. It was my dream and also an inner-calling to grow as an artist, to try new things, expand boundaries. Playing every thursday became a tradition, my sound of sunset was shaping and I kept falling in love with new favorite tracks. When came the idea - to produce a story - the soundtrack for the Sunset.

I’m really thankful for all the artists and friends who took part in creating this music together or contributing their music to the story. You will hear 14 tracks in this compilation - original music we made with friends, my remixes and edits for popular Lithuanian bands Saulės Kliošas, Kamanių Šilelis, Superkoloritas and artist Lukas Pilkauskas, the discovery of last summer and absolute sunset hit “Saulutė Leidos” song by Perkūnija. New and upcoming artists Sesija and Erasmus Leinweber presents their tracks together with well known and established international stars - Autarkic, Saphileaum and Auntie Flo. Everyone is unique and different, yet somehow this music shares the same qualities and frequencies, which were magically connected to one story around the shores of the Baltic Sea.

This music and story comes from the heart. This music is about freedom, unity, joy, playfulness and connection. Music - like a soft wave - connects the people and all acitvities in the beach and of course soundtracks the movement of the Sun. For me Sun represents the life force, creativity, sexuality - the essential things in life. When I was playing during the sunsets I deliberately chose to be looking towards the sun, like all the listeners. It helped to shift the attention and presented a new perspectives to soundtrack the movement of the Sun. I invite you to slow down, take your shoes off and spend and hour with this music - ideally watching the sunset - or with your eyes closed.
